Granite City JOAD & Adult Achievement program provides year round archery instruction. From October – April instruction/training is held indoor at Harvest Fellowship Church on Tuesday evenings. May - August outdoor session are held in Duelm area on Monday evenings. We are offering instruction/training at a second location for youth and adult archers at Minnesota Sportsmen's in Zimmerman Thursday evenings. Sauk Rapids beginning archers start at 5:30 -7:15 p.m. includes range set up. Advanced & adult archers start at 7:15 pm. - 9:30 p.m. includes disassemble of range.
Minnesota Sportsmens' all archers start at 7:15 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.
Club provide equipment?
Yes the club has Genesis bows and arrows available for rent at Sauk Rapids location for $10.00 per session.
How it works.
We hold 10 week training sessions; payment is due 1st week of each session. Cost for Sauk Rapids location is $50.00 for 1 child or adult, $70.00 for 2 members of same family and $90.00 for 3 from same family. Cost for Zimmerman location is $75.00 per person. In addition all archers must be recreational, youth or family members of USA Archery by 3rd time attending any JOAD or Adult Achievement session. See USA Archery website to join, link provided on our link page. Sessions run as follows; training 1st, 2nd, 4th,5th, 7th & 8th week, scoring or Pin Shoot 3rd, 6th and 9th week, fun shoot 10th week. New archers will only be accepted on 1st week of any given 10 week session during beginning session from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m..

Zimmerman MN Location moves to Outdoor Range at Minnesota Sportsmens Club April 27th NEW start time 6:30 p.m.
Based on score archers earn merit pins. To receive pins archer must hold either a youth or family membership with USA Archery.
Training consists of a variety of techniques used to improve archer’s skills and ultimately score. Techniques include use of stretch bands, string bows, blank bale, muscle mimetic, etc.
Registration is open for JOAD Nationals, Decatur Alabama July 13-17
The mission of Granite City JOAD is to promote the sport of archery among youth, as well as adults, encourage sportsmanship and volunteerism and to provide youth with positive and enjoyable opportunities to excel in the sport of Archery. The mission of Granite City JOAD shall also provide members with the opportunities to achieve sustained competitive excellence in local, National and International Archery Competitions. Granite City JOAD is a 501c organization.
